We are currently recruiting for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join a busy team delivering high-quality services across a range of sites. This is a great opportunity for individuals with grounds maintenance or horticultural experience who enjoy working outdoors as part of a team.
Locations Available:
- Dumfries (DG2) - Up to 6-month assignment
- Inverkeithing (KY11) - Ongoing
- Glasgow (Polmadie, G5) - Ongoing
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
- 30-minute unpaid break daily
The Role:
Working within a mobile grounds maintenance team, you will support the upkeep of outdoor spaces across multiple sites. Duties include:
- Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general grounds maintenance
- Clearing leaves, litter, and maintaining clean outdoor environments
- Planting, pruning, and other horticultural tasks
- Setting out and maintaining sports pitches (grass and synthetic)
- Operating equipment such as strimmers, mowers, and small plant
- Carrying out minor repairs (e.g. slabs, kerbs, surfaces)
- Maintaining tools, vehicles, and machinery
- Supporting seasonal work such as gritting and snow clearance
About You:
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous grounds maintenance or horticultural experience
- Are confident using strimmers, mowers, and small equipment
- Hold a full UK driving licence (trailer towing desirable)
- Have a good understanding of health & safety and COSHH
- Are reliable, hardworking, and take pride in their work
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable:
- PA1 & PA6 (pesticides) certification
- Experience with sports pitch marking/lining
Additional Information:
- PVG clearance is required for this role
- Immediate starts available
