We are seeking an organised and compassionate SEND Caseworker / EHCP Coordinator to manage Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and Annual Reviews for children and young people with complex additional needs. This is based in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire. An Enhanced DBS for Children on the Update Service is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage EHCP assessments and annual review processes for an allocated caseload.
- Draft Education, Health and Care Plans and attend planning meetings where required.
- Prepare and present cases to panels and communicate outcomes to schools, parents, and professionals.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to secure appropriate provision.
- Monitor progress, resolve casework issues, and ensure statutory deadlines are met.
- Support service development, training, and SEND practice improvements.
Requirements
Essential
- GCSEs including English and Maths
- Level 3 qualification
- Degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, SEND Regulations, and Children and Families Act
- Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and a large caseload
Desirable
- Professional qualification in Education or SEND
