Lynx Employment Services are recruiting three Highway Maintenance Officers to support Cambridgeshire County Council. This is an operational, field-based role focused on highway inspections, reactive maintenance, incident response and coordinating works across the county.
We're looking for candidates who have:
- 5+ years' experience working in Highways & Transport in a similar role.
- Strong experience of reactive highway maintenance, including coordinating emergency responses.
- A current Highway Safety Inspector qualification/certificate.
- Experience managing customer reports and enquiries through a digital system and reactively inspecting highway defects.
- Experience proactively engaging with and managing elected members.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
- The ability to work from a Cambridgeshire depot at least 4 days per week.
- A solid understanding of highway maintenance, inspection and relevant procedures.
