Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer (Freelance)
Rate: £50–£60 per hour
Location: Remote/Hybrid (depending on client needs)
Contract Type: Full Time (3 months)
We are seeking a highly skilled non-contentious construction solicitor or barrister to support complex infrastructure projects. You must hold a current practising certificate and have significant experience in drafting and advising on NEC and JCT contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal and procurement advice on high-value infrastructure projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC) and associated documents.
- Advise on matters involving the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Framework Agreements.
- Work closely with public sector clients to navigate complex procurement issues.
- Deliver commercially sound legal solutions under tight deadlines.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Requirements
- UK-qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid practising certificate.
- Proven track record in non-contentious construction law.
- Strong understanding of public procurement, ideally including experience working with or advising local authorities or other public bodies.
- Exceptional drafting and communication skills.
- Able to manage complex caseloads autonomously.
