We are recruiting an experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join a well-established and growing law firm in Chesterfield. This opportunity would suit a Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with at least five years experience who is confident managing a varied caseload and providing support to junior colleagues. You will take responsibility for your own residential property matters while helping to lead and develop a small team. You will also work closely with the Head of Residential Property to support the continued growth of the department.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
- Handle sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Lead, support and mentor junior members of the team
- Provide technical guidance on complex conveyancing matters
- Maintain high standards of client care and communication
- Ensure files meet compliance, quality and regulatory requirements
- Use the firms case management system to maintain accurate records
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of the department
About you
- At least five years residential conveyancing experience
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer
- Strong technical knowledge of residential property transactions
- Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Previous supervisory, mentoring or team leadership experience
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Confidence using legal case management systems
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
