Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 4:00pm

Duration: Summer cover / seasonal assignment

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel & Tractor Bowser Operator to support a busy site operation over the summer period. This role involves operating loading shovel and tractor/bowser equipment to support day-to-day quarry/site activities, including stockpile management, haul road maintenance and dust suppression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a loading shovel to load lorries safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining stockpiles and haul roads across site
  • Operating a tractor and bowser for dust suppression duties
  • Reversing down ramps safely to water sources to refill the bowser
  • Ensuring haul routes remain damped down and site safe
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
  • Working safely in line with site health & safety procedures

Essential Requirements

  • Loading Shovel ticket/certification
  • Tractor ticket/certification
  • Valid MP Connect Card
  • Previous experience within quarry, aggregates, construction or heavy industrial environments
  • Ability to work independently and safely in a busy operational environment
  • Good awareness of health & safety procedures
