Our client is looking for a Contracts and Data Officer to support waste disposal and HWRC contracts within a busy local authority service in Barnsley on a temporary contract.

The Role:

  • Monitoring contractor performance
  • Analysing complex payment mechanisms
  • Ensuring accurate reporting
  • Validating invoices and processing payments
  • Managing stakeholder queries
  • Attending contract meetings

This is a fast-paced role in a regulated environment requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail. An understanding of contract management within a regulated environment (waste/local authority) experience is desirable.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 (e.g. ILM level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent vocational/technical qualification)
  • Basic DBS required
  • Experience of policy and procedure formulation and implementation
  • Experience in research and development activity including data analysis and performance reporting
  • Experience in performance management, setting targets, plans and monitoring performance
  • Experience in the key principles of contract management, contract law and procurement
  • Significant experience of financial control mechanisms
  • Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, being self-motivated and able to use own initiative under minimal supervision
  • Ability to organise and prioritise conflicting workloads

The role is office based working Monday to Friday.
