Construction Planner

Construction Planner Location: based in Sheffield Job Type: Permanent Sector: Construction / Main Contracting Benefits: Excellent company benefits package Lynx Employment Services is recruiting an experienced Construction Planner on behalf of a well-established construction business in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner with construction experience to join a successful team, working across both pre-construction and live projects. You will play an important role in developing tender and contract programmes, monitoring project progress and working closely with operational, pre-construction and supply-chain teams to ensure projects remain on programme. ## The Role As Construction Planner, your responsibilities will include: Preparing and updating project programmes for bid, tender and construction stages Supporting the pre-construction team with the preparation of bid-stage programmes Reviewing site constraints, build type, project size, location, design information and programme requirements Developing detailed Tender Programmes Working with key supply-chain partners to obtain programme input and buy-in Producing fully logic-linked programmes ahead of bid sign-off Developing contract programmes covering design, procurement, manufacture and installation Ensuring programmes accurately reflect agreed supply-chain requirements and interfaces between trades Updating and revising programmes following client variations or project changes Developing recovery programmes where projects experience delays Monitoring project progress against the critical path Identifying potential programme risks and delays Preparing project progress reports Working closely with Operations Managers and project teams Supporting both client reporting and internal contract reviews ## About You We are particularly interested in candidates with: Previous experience in a Planner or Construction Planner position Experience within a main contractor, construction or related built-environment organisation Experience producing tender and construction programmes Good understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery Experience monitoring progress against critical path An understanding of design, procurement and supply-chain programmes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with project teams, clients and supply-chain partners Experience with industry-standard planning software such as Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6 would be advantageous. ## Benefits The successful candidate will join an established organisation offering a comprehensive benefits package including: 33 days' annual leave, increasing with length of service Salary sacrifice pension scheme Life assurance Cycle to Work scheme Employee discounts and rewards Health and wellbeing support Training and e-learning opportunities Financial and life-management support Long-term career development opportunities ## Interested?
