The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor to join an established and growing legal practice in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident property solicitor looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking firm with a varied commercial property caseload and the opportunity to develop their career. You will manage your own caseload, working with a range of clients on commercial property transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters.
- Handle the acquisition and disposal of commercial property.
- Advise landlords and tenants on commercial leases.
- Deal with lease renewals, assignments and surrenders.
- Handle property transactions involving offices, retail premises, industrial units, land and other commercial assets.
- Undertake title investigations and property due diligence.
- Draft and review contracts, leases and other property documentation.
- Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors throughout transactions.
- Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice.
- Maintain accurate files and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Develop strong relationships with existing clients and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
About You
We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with solid experience in commercial conveyancing/property. You should have:
- Previous experience managing a commercial property caseload.
- Strong knowledge of commercial conveyancing transactions.
- Experience dealing with commercial leases and acquisitions/disposals.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong client management and communication skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A commercial and practical approach to providing legal advice.
- Ideally 5+ years PQE.
