The predicted salary is between 60000 - 62000 £ per year.

Pay Rate: £28.96 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Temporary 6 Months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor with Fire Safety aspects to support a busy local authority property and compliance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in fire safety compliance, commercial property maintenance, building surveying, or compliance within public sector or large property portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting fire safety remediation works across a varied property portfolio
  • Assisting with compliance monitoring and ensuring adherence to fire safety legislation and best practice
  • Managing and coordinating works arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)
  • Liaising with contractors, surveyors, and internal stakeholders to progress remedial actions
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of fire safety compliance frameworks
  • Maintaining accurate records, compliance documentation, and audit trails
  • Assisting with procurement and organisation of fire safety related works
  • Promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance across the organisation

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience within fire safety compliance, commercial property compliance, surveying, or building maintenance
  • Knowledge of fire safety legislation and compliance standards
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain accurate records
  • Experience working with contractors and stakeholders
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
