Location: South Kirkby, Pontefract, WF9 Pay: £14.82 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am – 4:15pm (40 hours per week) Contract: Temporary for 3 months ### Join a Team That Keeps the Community Clean Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Team Leader LGV Driver to join a busy frontline refuse collection team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver who enjoys working outdoors, leading a crew, and delivering an essential public service. ### The Role Working as a Team Leader Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a refuse collection vehicle while leading your crew to ensure waste and recycling collections are completed efficiently across the district. Your duties will include: Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle. Carrying out daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks. Completing all required paperwork and route documentation. Leading and supervising the collection crew. Collecting household waste, recycling and garden waste. Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. Reporting vehicle defects, incidents and missed collections. Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times. Liaising with supervisors and depot staff when required. The successful candidate will receive full induction, health & safety training, shadowing and training on waste reception points before commencing duties. ### Requirements To be considered, you must have: Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence. Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence. Experience driving LGV/Class 2 vehicles. Good communication and leadership skills. A commitment to excellent customer service and health & safety. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and undertake some manual handling. ### What's on Offer? £14.82 per hour.
