We are currently recruiting for a proactive and highly organised Business Support Assistantfor our clients busy office on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, strong IT capabilities, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will play a vital role in supporting multiple service areas, predominantly handling waste enquiries and complaints via telephone, but also responding to emails, processing payments and bookings, and managing general administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face, providing a professional and helpful service.

Manage correspondence: distribute post, process incoming/outgoing mail.

Compile and report on requested information and data.

Create and maintain spreadsheets, letters, databases, and templates.

Support staff with IT systems and applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Perform general administrative tasks: minute-taking, photocopying, diary management, arranging meetings and events.

Reconcile and handle payments accurately and in line with financial regulations.

Supervise and allocate work to junior administrative staff as needed.

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and GDPR legislation.
Essential Criteria

Proven experience in a similar support role within a multi-functional business service environment.

Confident using Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word and Excel).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to adapt to new processes and systems, and contribute to service improvements.

Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.

Ability to minute meetings accurately.

Familiarity with financial procedures and budget monitoring.
