We are recruiting an experienced Tractor Gang Mower Driver to support grounds maintenance operations across a large, well-maintained site in the Manchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid machinery experience looking for a temp-to-perm role.
The Role
- Operating tractor-mounted gang mowers to maintain extensive grassed areas to a high standard.
- Supporting the wider grounds team when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating tractor-mounted gang mowers safely and efficiently.
- Cutting large grassed and open turf areas to specification.
- Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting defects.
- Carrying out basic machine care (cleaning, lubrication, blade checks).
- Following set mowing schedules and work plans.
- Safely manoeuvring machinery across site.
- Assisting with general grounds maintenance duties as required.
- Adhering to all health & safety and PPE requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience operating tractor-mounted gang mowers.
- Good understanding of grounds maintenance operations.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Machinery certification (or willingness to undertake training).
Desirable
- PA1 / PA6 spraying certifications.
- Experience within parks, estates, sports turf or local authority environments.
