Essential We are recruiting an experienced
Tree Inspector / Arboricultural Surveyor
to join a busy environmental services team in Walsall.

This is a specialist role requiring strong practical knowledge of
arboriculture, tree inspections and urban forestry , with responsibility for inspecting and managing a significant tree stock and helping to ensure trees are managed safely and appropriately. ## The Role Key responsibilities will include: Carrying out day-to-day inspections and surveys of tree stock.

Making
tree risk management decisions and prioritising works .

Inspecting individual trees, groups of trees and woodlands.

Maintaining and updating the Tree Inventory database.

Making recommendations following inspections of high-amenity trees.

Assisting with the management of arboricultural operations.

Supporting the Tree Risk Management programme.

Surveying and assessing woodlands.

Assisting with woodland management plans and funding bids.

Responding to urgent tree-work requests.

Providing specialist arboricultural advice to customers and other teams.

Attending site inspections, consultations and public meetings where required.

Supporting quotations, tenders and estimates for arboricultural works. ## Essential Requirements Applicants should have: Strong practical experience within the
arboriculture industry .

Experience carrying out
tree inspections .

Good knowledge of
urban forestry and arboricultural practices .

Level 3 Tree Inspection Certificate or equivalent.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in arboriculture, grounds maintenance, green spaces or a related environmental discipline.

IOSH accreditation or the ability to meet the required standard.

Full UK driving licence.

Driver CPC.

Good Health & Safety knowledge.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to maintain accurate inspection and tree-management records.

The role requires approximately
3 days per week on site , with the selection process conducted via a Teams interview.
