We are currently recruiting for an experienced Waste Supervisor to join a busy operational team based in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with experience supervising waste, recycling, environmental services, logistics or operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day delivery of waste management and recycling operations.
- Lead and support operational staff, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor service performance and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Conduct team briefings, toolbox talks and support staff development.
- Liaise with site management, contractors and operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and operational documentation.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience within waste management, environmental services, logistics, facilities management or a similar operational environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent IT and reporting skills.
