We are recruiting for a skilled and motivated SEND professional to join a well-established organisation delivering statutory SEND services and EHC plan coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in special educational needs, statutory processes, and multi-agency working, who is looking for a structured hybrid role within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting statutory SEND processes in line with the SEND Code of Practice
- Managing and progressing EHC plan casework efficiently and accurately
- Working with families, schools, and professionals to coordinate assessments and plans
- Maintaining accurate digital records and case management systems
- Supporting statutory timescales and compliance requirements
- Liaising with local schools and partner agencies
- Delivering high-quality administrative and coordination support across SEND services
Essential Requirements
- Excellent IT and digital skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex casework and competing priorities
- Confident working within statutory frameworks and regulated environments
- Willingness to work onsite in Barnsley town centre on Mondays and Thursdays
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of SEND and the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience within SEND services or SEN casework
- Experience using IDOX EHC Hub
- Knowledge of local schools and education provision
- Experience working in education, local authority, or public sector environments
