We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated SENDIASS Officer to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive appropriate support to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, schools, and partner agencies
  • Undertake assessments and support statutory SEND processes
  • Provide impartial advice, guidance, and advocacy to families and stakeholders
  • Support home-school liaison and deliver interventions to improve outcomes
  • Facilitate and attend meetings, including mediation and tribunal processes
  • Maintain accurate case records and manage a varied caseload
  • Work collaboratively with services to ensure appropriate SEND provision
  • Promote the welfare and inclusion of children and young people at all times

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs (AC) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and tribunal procedures
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and advocacy skills
