We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Officer to join a busy Adult Social Care Commissioning Team supporting the delivery of high-quality care and support services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic commissioning activity, service development, market research, performance monitoring and stakeholder engagement within a collaborative public sector environment. A standard DBS is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, monitor and analyse performance and contract data
- Produce detailed reports, business cases and commissioning proposals
- Support provider relationship management across adult social care services
- Assist with financial, legal and procurement-related commissioning tasks
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities with internal and external partners
- Conduct benchmarking, market analysis and research activity
- Support procurement exercises including specifications and tender documentation
- Monitor provider performance against KPIs and quality standards
- Contribute to commissioning strategies and service improvement plans
Requirements
- Experience within commissioning, adult social care, health, housing or public sector services
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly
- Experience supporting projects, contracts or service improvement activity
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of adult social care legislation and commissioning processes desirable
- Strong Microsoft Office / Office 365 skills
Ideal Candidate
You will be highly organised, analytical and confident working with multiple stakeholders. Previous experience within local authority, NHS, commissioning or social care environments would be highly beneficial. Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience within this field required.
