The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

You will write and develop stories with great pictures and engaging video. You will deliver a fast turnaround on stories about local communities which engage as many readers as possible with exclusive stories that set us apart from our rivals. All while ensuring that every piece of content is researched and published in accordance with the Editors Code of practice. You will be confident using a range of digital formats and quickly identify breaking news by utilising social media.

Qualifications

An experienced journalist with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge or for trainee candidates with NCTJ preliminary or equivalent. You have the ability to be bold, confident and to be comfortable meeting people face to face developing a strong contacts book. You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’re social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and ideally you’re familiar with newsroom analytics and content management systems. You’re flexible, inquisitive and are on the pulse of what makes a great story!
