Role SummaryWe’re looking for a hands-on integration engineer to design, build, test, and support enterprise integrations using Boomi. You’ll work with business stakeholders and engineers to connect SaaS apps, on-prem systems, and data sources using APIs, event/file patterns, and integration best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain Boomi processes (API, event, batch, and file-based integrations).
- Design integrations end-to-end: requirements → mapping → error handling → deployment → monitoring.
- Develop and publish APIs (REST/SOAP) with appropriate security (OAuth2, basic auth, certificates, IP restrictions).
- Implement data transformations (JSON/XML/CSV), mapping, validation, enrichment, and canonical models.
- Set up and manage Boomi runtime/Atoms (Atom, Molecule, Atom Cloud) and environments.
- Configure connectors (CRM/ERP/databases/SFTP/HTTP) and manage credentials securely.
- Establish exception handling, retries, dead-letter patterns, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Support testing (unit/integration/UAT), performance checks, and test data setup.
- Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver fixes with minimal downtime.
- Maintain documentation (interface specs, mappings, diagrams, deployment notes, dashboards).
- Collaborate with security/compliance on data protection, audit trails, and access controls.
- 4+ years delivering integrations on Boomi (or equivalent iPaaS with strong Boomi hands-on capability).
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns: synchronous vs async, pub/sub, idempotency, batching, pagination.
- API fundamentals: REST, SOAP, OpenAPI basics, webhooks, status codes, versioning.
- Data formats & transformation: JSON, XML, CSV; mapping and validation; basic XSLT helpful.
- Operational discipline: logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response.
- Environment & release practices: dev/test/prod separation, change control, rollback.
- Strong troubleshooting skills (HTTP traces, connector errors, payload inspection).
- Good communication and ability to translate business requirements into integration design.
- Boomi certifications (Developer/Professional/Architect).
- ERP/CRM integration experience (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
- Messaging/event platforms (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, MQ).
- CI/CD exposure (Git, pipelines) and automated testing for integrations.
- Cloud fundamentals (networking, secrets management, certificates).
- Familiarity with GDPR/PII handling and audit logging.
- Reliable integrations with agreed SLAs and monitoring.
- Clear documentation and operational guides.
- Stable deployments with minimal defects and quick incident recovery.
If you don't match all of the requirements on the brief, please do still apply. All CVs will be reviewed and all candidates carefully considered. We understand that nobody can have experience in everything, and that some things can be learned on the job.
The rate is dependent on experience and can be discussed openly on a screening call. A two-stage interview process will follow, and the successful applicant will start as soon as possible.
