Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Boomi processes (API, event, batch, and file-based integrations).
- Develop and publish APIs (REST/SOAP) with appropriate security (OAuth2, basic auth, certificates, IP restrictions).
- Implement data transformations (JSON/XML/CSV), mapping, validation, enrichment, and canonical models.
- Set up and manage Boomi runtime/Atoms (Atom, Molecule, Atom Cloud) and environments.
- Configure connectors (CRM/ERP/databases/SFTP/HTTP) and manage credentials securely.
- Establish exception handling, retries, dead-letter patterns, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Support testing (unit/integration/UAT), performance checks, and test data setup.
- Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver fixes with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with security/compliance on data protection, audit trails, and access controls.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years delivering integrations on Boomi (or equivalent iPaaS with strong Boomi hands-on capability).
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns: synchronous vs async, pub/sub, idempotency, batching, pagination.
- API fundamentals: REST, SOAP, OpenAPI basics, webhooks, status codes, versioning.
- Data formats & transformation: JSON, XML, CSV; mapping and validation; basic XSLT helpful.
- Operational discipline: logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response.
- Environment & release practices: dev/test/prod separation, change control, rollback.
- Good communication and ability to translate business requirements into integration design.
Desirable / Nice to Have
- Boomi certifications (Developer/Professional/Architect).
- ERP/CRM integration experience (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
- CI/CD exposure (Git, pipelines) and automated testing for integrations.
- Cloud fundamentals (networking, secrets management, certificates).
