Lynker Corporation is a leading provider of professional, scientific, and technical services supporting ocean, coastal, and fisheries science and management. We support mission-critical programs across NOAA and other federal agencies. Currently, we are seeking a Program Assistant to support the IFS Program within NOAA’s NMFS, NEFSC, NEFOP, FSB.

The IFS Program monitors the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic scallop fishery and manages observer deployment through an automated IVR system. This position involves supporting trip notifications, data entry, vessel compliance checks, outreach, and assisting with scallop-related training and data queries. The role requires after-hours work and participation in outreach and research cruises.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • B.S. in Marine Biology, Fisheries, or related field
  • Experience with NEFOP, IFS, small boats, or commercial fishing vessels
  • Biological research background
  • Proficiency in GIS, SQL, SAS, Oracle, and MS Office
  • Strong communication and team management skills

Skills/Certifications:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • NSC Defensive Driver’s Course
  • NOAA Marine Safety Instructor Training (MSIT)
