LYNK has partnered with a growing cybersecurity business based in Cirencester to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a hybrid role reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and it's a genuine development opportunity for someone who wants to grow beyond purely transactional work and build real exposure to management accounting over time.

You'll own day-to-day finance operations; purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, credit control, expenses, while also getting hands-on with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and balance sheet reconciliations. There's also a management reporting element, supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and OPEX variance analysis.

It's a broad role for a business of this size, and study support is on offer for your AAT's and further qualifications beyond this.

  • Hybrid working - 4 in, 1 from home
  • Direct exposure to the Finance Manager
  • Clear progression pathway into management accounting

Background in a finance assistant or assistant accountant role:

  • Comfortable with day-to-day transactional finance; AP, AR, bank recs, credit control
  • Part-way through AAT or ready to start, with a longer-term goal of CIMA or ACCA
  • Purchase ledger, supplier payments, and expense management
  • Daily bank reconciliations and cashflow support
  • OPEX accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including fixed assets, accruals, and payroll accounts
  • Supporting monthly management accounts as you develop into the role
  • Credit control and aged debt management
