LYNK has partnered with a growing cybersecurity business based in Cirencester to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a hybrid role reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and it's a genuine development opportunity for someone who wants to grow beyond purely transactional work and build real exposure to management accounting over time.
You'll own day-to-day finance operations including:
- Purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit control
- Expenses
Additionally, you will be involved in month-end processes such as:
- Accruals
- Prepayments
- Payroll journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
There's also a management reporting element, supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and OPEX variance analysis. It's a broad role for a business of this size, and study support is on offer for your AAT's and further qualifications beyond this.
Key requirements include:
- Background in a finance assistant or assistant accountant role
- Comfortable with day-to-day transactional finance; AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit control
- Part-way through AAT or ready to start, with a longer-term goal of CIMA or ACCA
- Daily bank reconciliations and cashflow support
- OPEX accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations including fixed assets, accruals, and payroll accounts
- Supporting monthly management accounts as you develop into the role
- Credit control and aged debt management
