My Client based in the BT11 area of Belfast requires a Full-time Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • General reception duties - greeting patients in person and on the telephone, making and cancelling appointments, providing information regarding practice services.
  • Maintaining and updating files both computerised and manual.
  • Typing letters, memos, referrals, and confidential reports.
  • Sorting and distribution of post.
  • Collecting and collating data as and when required.
  • Liaising with other disciplines, outside agencies, and departments in a helpful and professional manner.

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to GCSE level including English & Maths (Grade A-C).
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Fully computer literate.
  • Evidence of working in a team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to cover sickness and holidays.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a medical environment (working within a GP surgery advantageous), although full training will be given.

37.5 hours per week: Mon - Fri hours to be worked within the Practice opening times of 8.30am - 6pm. Salary £13.30 per hour.
