My Client, a well-established company based in the BT5 area of Belfast, is seeking an experienced Part-time Payroll Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Company Accountant, you will be responsible for the processing of weekly/monthly payrolls and other general administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced individual.

Duties:

  • Full end-to-end payroll including collating weekly and monthly timesheets
  • Process payroll using Sage
  • Producing payroll reports, payslips, BACS payments, and full payment submission to HMRC
  • Processing of starters and leavers including coding notices and P45s
  • Payroll year-end completion
  • Completion of wage and salary journals for accounts
  • Calculate and submit monthly HMRC liability
  • Administration of yearly pay reviews
  • Auto enrolment pension administration and payment through pension providers' online dashboard
  • Creation and maintenance of personnel files and personnel administration
  • Maintaining the Time Management System for payroll processing, holidays, and absences
  • Calculation of monthly commission and expenses
  • Administration of recruitment and FEC submissions to the Equality Commission
  • Administration and payment of union and gift aid dues and savings scheme
  • Administration and payment of deduction orders
  • Holiday cover for Sales Ledger (Cash posting)
  • General administration - wide-ranging

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of Sage Payroll
  • Knowledge and experience of processing statutory payments such as SSP, SPP, SMP
  • Experience of IT systems including Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail

Hours of work: 20 or 24 hours a week; this can be either 5 mornings 9.30am – 1.30pm or 3 full days. The hours/days are open to discussion at interview.

Salary: £25.5Kpa pro rata
