Reporting to the Practice Manager, my Client based in the BT14 area of Belfast requires a Part-time Medical Receptionist to join their team on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent.
Duties:
- Greeting patients in person and on the telephone, making and cancelling appointments
- Updating patient’s computer records as directed
- Liaising with various agencies where required to provide repeat prescriptions when authorised
- Coordinating patient appointments, hospital letters etc. with staff members to ensure procedures are effective
- Diary management
- Organising, filing and maintaining patient records
- Maintaining a tidy reception desk and public areas
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- 5 GCSEs grade A to C including English & Maths
- Fully computer literate
- Evidence of working in a team and on own initiative
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility to cover sickness and holidays
- Respect for patient confidentiality at all times (please note any breach of this would lead to dismissal)
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in a medical environment (working within a GP surgery advantageous) although full training will be given
Hours: 12.45pm - 5pm Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Salary: £12.71 per hour
