About the Role

Lynco are looking for an enthusiastic Materials Planner who’s ready to start or grow their career in supply chain. You don’t need years of experience — just strong organisational skills, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to work with data and people. You’ll help keep Lynco construction projects running smoothly by making sure materials arrive on time and within budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Seek quotations for material purchases for comparison and budget.
  • Order/schedule materials received from Lynco design department in line with construction programs.
  • Raise Purchase Orders with agreed prices and accurate dates for dispatch/delivery.
  • Liaise with Accounts department regarding queries/credit notes.
  • Plan logistics to remain cost-efficient and avoid delays to construction team.
  • Provide Lynco Delivery Drivers with detailed collection & delivery schedule.
  • Receive material delivery feedback from hub/site Operatives.
  • Liaise with suppliers/hauliers regarding material delivery feedback received and seek corrective action e.g. re-makes, refunds, credit notes etc.
  • Maintain records on Lynco’s material stock.
  • Maintain Lynco Tool Register.
  • Assisting the Procurement Manager with clerical/administrative tasks as requested.

What We’re Looking For

  • Some experience in administration, construction, procurement or logistics is helpful but not essential.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and digital systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to stay organised and manage multiple tasks.
