Main Duties
- Produce detailed design and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings & specifications,
- Ensure designs comply with system supplier requirements, UK Building Regulations, and relevant British Standards.
- Coordinate with line manager & site teams throughout the design process.
- Manage drawing revisions, technical submissions, and approval processes.
- Provide technical support and respond to design-related queries to assist successful project delivery.
- Support the development of practical, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Experience within the façade, aluminium glazing, curtain walling, or fenestration industry.
- Experience working with at least one of the following systems: Reynaers, WICONA, Aluprof, Schüco, or Metal Technology .
- Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical and architectural drawings.
- Good working knowledge of UK/Ireland Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a project team.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working for a façade subcontractor, glazing contractor, or specialist building envelope contractor.
- Familiarity with CWCT standards and industry best practices.
- Understanding of curtain walling, window, door, and rainscreen cladding systems.
- Experience coordinating designs with architects, consultants, and contractors.
Working Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 8-5
- Friday: 8-2
