Product Developer – 9 month FTC Parental Leave Cover *April 2025*

We are looking for an in-house Product Developer to play a key role within our Product Development Team. This position is responsible for the development of our Knitwear and Midlayer ranges from initial design concept through to bulk production and the management of SMUs and special projects. Key Responsibilities:

Work with the design team and garment tech team to develop the Knitwear and Midlayer ranges.

Responsible for the day to day running of the PLM system and development plan, ensuring complete and accurate information.

Ensure key milestones and deadlines are met in line with the seasonal and company critical path.

Build and maintain tech packs and BOM’s in the PLM system, accurately communicating our requirements to suppliers.

Establish, build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers. Managing the supply base for your categories through weekly catch up calls and quarterly performance reviews.

Source relevant materials (fabrics & trims) in line with sourcing strategy and design expectation; attending Trade shows when needed

Proactive in fit sessions and making recommendations to perfect the fit, design aesthetic and achieve required margin

Support Senior Product Manager with intake margin ownership through product cost negotiations and regular margin analysis throughout the development season.

Ensure that product quality is at the forefront of all developments by understanding the brand standards, customer perception & expectations; and relevance for the suggested RRP, market placement and supplier profile.

Take ownership of the Critical Path, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.

Take ownership of the SMS process and updates to the wider business, being the main point of contact on sample whereabouts.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 5 years minimum experience in a similar role
  • Experience developing knitwear and jersey product
