We welcome creativity and value individuals passionate about delivering a strong performance.

We are a privately owned British brand with over 150 years of history and a reputation for crafting high-quality clothing.

We are a brand with true authenticity, heritage and expertise that is recognised throughout the world.

We are looking for an experienced

Compliance & Product Sustainability Specialist to join our Product, Sourcing & Production team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of compliance within Lyle & Scott during a period of significant regulatory change.

This is a hands-on implementation role, ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems and working collaboratively with teams and suppliers.

Rather than simply advising on compliance, you will take ownership of implementing new regulatory requirements, completing customer and country-specific compliance documentation, developing practical ways of working and embedding compliance into our day-to-day operations.

Working alongside our Product and Sourcing & Production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring Lyle & Scott remains compliant with evolving UK, EU and US legislation whilst coaching and training the existing teams, leaving the business with the capability to confidently manage compliance beyond the duration of the contract.

If you are a proactive, organised and commercially minded compliance professional who enjoys implementing change and working collaboratively across multiple teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Within the 6 months, the successful candidate will

  • Bring all UK, EU and US compliance registrations and reporting obligations up to date.
  • Establish robust data collection and reporting processes.
  • Create a comprehensive product compliance and sustainability roadmap.
  • Introduce clear product compliance governance and accountability structures.
  • Ensure the business is positioned to meet upcoming environmental and sustainability regulations by coordinating any necessary testing, reporting or documentation requirements and maintaining the central repository of these.
  • Build a product compliance framework and embed it into internal teams to support wider business growth across all markets
  • Assess current compliance capabilities in the business and work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers across the globe and customers.
  • Ensure the team are confident in managing compliance for the business upon the completion of your contract.

Qualifications / Experience

  • We are looking for an individual who combines a strong knowledge of the regulatory and legislative landscape with a practical, hands-on mindset.
  • Proven experience within product, sourcing, supply chain or supplier management.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a stand-alone role.
  • Comfortable moving between strategy, managing teams and detailed administration.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial mindset and understands balancing cost, quality, speed, and risk.
  • Strong communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels, primarily suppliers who may pose risk.
  • Curious and proactive in monitoring legislative developments.
  • Resilient and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Able to build effective working relationships across multiple business functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability and takes a practical approach to resolving issues.
