As marketplaces become a key driver of our direct-to-consumer growth, this role will be central to shaping how we show up across partners such as ASOS, Zalando, About You, and Amazon, ensuring our heritage brand delivers modern performance and commercial success.

The Role
The Senior Amazon & Marketplace Executive will lead the growth and optimisation of Lyle & Scott's global online marketplace business. This person will own the commercial strategy, performance analysis, and partner relationships across multiple platforms — ensuring brand consistency, profitability, and operational excellence. You'll indirectly manage the Marketplace Executive and collaborate closely with merchandising, operations, marketing, and product teams to drive visibility, conversion, and revenue. This is a role for a commercially minded team player who understands both the creative and analytical sides of e-commerce and can turn insight into action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Strategy & Growth
    • Define and deliver the global marketplace strategy aligned with brand and Omnichannel objectives.
    • Identify new marketplace opportunities, oversee onboarding and integration roadmaps with Tradebyte or equivalent.
    • Set commercial targets, pricing architecture, and margin strategies per region and partner.
    • Benchmark against competitors to inform marketplace positioning, content, and trade planning.
  • Commercial & Trading Performance
    • Own sales, profitability and KPI reporting across all marketplaces (revenue, AOV, CR, UPT, ROAS).
    • Monitor and optimise performance through weekly trading reviews with key stakeholders.
    • Lead trading calendars, promotions, and exclusive marketplace activations to drive sell-through and visibility.
    • Collaborate with marketing on campaign alignment, paid marketplace media, and brand shop optimisation.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee stock flow, fulfilment accuracy and returns management in coordination with operations and warehouse teams.
    • Ensure catalogue integrity, accurate product mapping, and season-ready range data across all live and upcoming partners.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration or data issues in collaboration with internal tech teams and integrators.
  • Partnership & Relationship Management
    • Act as the key commercial contact for all marketplace partners.
    • Lead contract negotiations, trading terms, and promotional funding discussions.
    • Strengthen external relationships and identify opportunities for joint marketing initiatives and brand campaigns.
  • Team Leadership
    • Mentor and help develop the Online Marketplace Executive.
    • Support future team growth as the marketplace function scales globally.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

About You

  • 4+ years' experience in marketplace or e-commerce trading, ideally within fashion or consumer retail.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse and act on trading data.
  • Proven success in managing external partners (ASOS, Zalando, Amazon, About You, etc.).
  • Experience with middleware (Tradebyte, ChannelEngine, Mirakl, etc.).
  • Skilled in reporting tools such as PowerBI, Google Analytics and Excel.
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable balancing detail with big-picture thinking — strategic yet hands-on.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
