We are currently looking for a Ecommerce Trader to play a crucial role in our in-house e-commerce team. The role will be responsible for the onsite trade performance of a Global, multi-million-pound revenue e-commerce site. The role requires you to have a comprehensive understanding of product, merchandising and onsite trade best practices.
The position is responsible for helping to optimise Lyle & Scottâs product offering across all markets, influencing the end-to-end customer journey, increasing conversion and driving sales.
- Manage the day-to-day onsite trading of Lyle & Scottâs Global site, taking responsibility for sales and margin and shared responsibility of AOV, UPT and onsite conversion.
- Working closely with merchandising, managing the business unitâs seasonal range plan, and ensuring all products are available and launched and accompanying information is present, relevant, and up to date.
- Work with the Commercial e-commerce lead to create the seasonal product file to launch our seasonal products onsite, ensuring all products are mapped and shown correctly.
- Assist the Senior Head of eCommerce and the wider team in mapping out annual, monthly, and weekly targets, ensuring the team and wider teams are aware of these and the actions needed to achieve them. This includes forecasting order volumes to ensure an optimal stock profile and that CS and warehouse teams can allocate resources effectively.
- Alongside this, propose and deliver the online trading strategy across digital channels, devise trading solutions and opportunities to improve customer experience, and increase profit/margin.
- Daily monitor and analyse sales/margin, creating relevant reports to illustrate and support actions to optimise trade, proposing solutions to the wider team to boost poor sellers/optimise bestsellers to increase conversion rate.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, I own and execute the e-commerce trading calendar, ensuring alignment with the brand, customer experience, and merchandising teams so that the site complements any activity.
- Make sure all onsite content plans are aligned with the e-commerce marketing calendar. Also, ensure customer pages (home and landing) strike a balance between supporting new stories and exciting products and being commercial, working to challenge the business where there are opportunities to improve this.
- Responsible for submitting and leading the unitâs promotional plans, ensuring promotions and incentives are delivered and in line with wider business objectives where necessary.
- Conducted detailed product analyses in our key markets.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong experience in the retail, fashion/lifestyle sectors and the pressures that come with them is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of product performance, sell through and merchandising practices.
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar e-commerce, trading or merchandising role.
- Experience working with Shopify+ is preferred, as you will need to be comfortable uploading products, exporting and building automated reports.
- An understanding of seasonal calendars and product launches.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to perform various functions and lookups.
- Ability to manage and brief multiple stakeholders and agency partners.
- Adhere to timelines and ability to be adaptable considering changing commercial forces.
