Job Purpose

The SLP Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for administering and improving the Preserve’s hospitality and guest-experience operations, including development and implementation of guest-service initiatives, hospitality standards, special programs, marketing initiatives. The position evaluates guest feedback, operational needs and business opportunities and makes recommendations to management that directly affect customer satisfaction, revenue generation and repeat business.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible to acquire, learn and practice all LBI Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with these standards as well as safety regulations pertinent to the department and job functions.
  • Train staff on improving customer experience.
  • Independently evaluate and resolve guest concerns and service issues within established guidelines, exercising discretion to determine appropriate solutions and accommodations consistent with business objectives.
  • Provide oversight of menus, lodge décor, and readiness.
  • Develop and recommend marketing and customer-retention initiatives.
  • Develop, evaluate, coordinate and implement guest programs, special events and off-season activities designed to enhance the guest experience, increase customer retention and generate additional revenue.
  • Build SLP’s reputation as a premier hunting and outdoor destination.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve the guest experience and drive year-round business.
  • Advise SLP Manager and Director of Marketing in the development of messaging for social media and other platforms.

Qualifications

  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
  • Valid driver’s license with insurability.
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Knowledge/Skills:
  • Customer experience oriented.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong professionalism.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, evaluate alternatives, resolve problems and make decisions consistent with company objectives and established guidelines.
  • Advertising and marketing mindset
  • Ability to support event coordination for corporate or group outings.
  • Education/Experience:
  • Degree in Business Administration or similar preferred.
  • 2 years of hospitality experience required.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office programs and CRMs to manage customer relations.
  • Physical Demands & Work Environment: Individual is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Occasionally required to bend, stoop, and lift. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
