Salary: Trust Grade 7 – 10 (£25,600 – £28,457 gross per annum) £13,491 - £14,997 actual gross per annum.

- Weekend availability - Weekend working will also be required to ensure site safety and oversee lettings.
This is a part time; ongoing position and your working hours would be on rotating shifts Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm and 1 in 3 rotating Saturday overtime. The part time shift is usually 6am to 10am or 6pm to 10pm however it may vary sometimes due to the demands of the role. The ideal candidate will have some flexibility to assist with cover needs which arise during the course of work. Some weekend work may be required if contractors are on site but this would be on an occasional basis throughout the year. This post is for 52 weeks and it is expected that annual leave will be split between term times and school holidays.

Lydiard Park Academy are currently seeking to recruit ambitious individuals for a Caretaker role to deliver a high-quality customer service to all teaching and related support operations on the Academy site. Working both as an individual and as part of a team, you will carry out a range of tasks to facilitate an ideal teaching and learning environment for all staff and students.
As a School Caretaker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school premises ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for staff and students. The role is active and will require multi-skilled handyperson duties. This role will include opening and closing the site, site security and term time keeping on top of the general maintenance and school set ups. Out of term time you will participate in planned works. Able to work unsupervised you will be self-motivated, have good communication skills, with a clean driving license and basic DIY skills.
School experience isn’t necessary (preferable) but transferable ‘handy-man’ skills are essential. Caretaking experience is preferred, however similar experience will be accepted and knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations will also be beneficial. You will be a people person; team player and you will have a passion for providing the highest standards of service.
