Lydbury North Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from September 2026. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences, has high expectations for all pupils, and is committed to helping every child achieve their potential. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, we would welcome your application.

Salary: ECT - M6 (in line with the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a secure knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Demonstrates good leadership, organisation and classroom management skills.
  • Can inspire, motivate and challenge pupils to achieve their best.
  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and carers.
  • Shares our commitment to providing an engaging, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the learning, achievement and well-being of all pupils in their class.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, respectful learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life, dedication and professionalism of the school community.
