The predicted salary is between 36000 - 45000 € per year.
This is a full-time role for a native-level German speaker, which entails:
- 20 teaching periods/week
- 3 hours support to students/class cover
- Time for PPA, corrections, collaborative work and meetings
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Teach German to students of all ages, including A-level and potentially IB students
- Organise and collaborate on departmental events, e.g. language day, writing competitions, etc.
- Prepare, coordinate and plan the curriculum with the team
- Assess students formatively and summatively
- Commit to the integration of technology into the curriculum
- Organise and manage classroom, which promotes student-centred learning
- Provide meaningful assignments and constructive feedback to students
- Write schemes of work and Year plan to ensure the curriculum is met and aligned with the School’s standards
- Incorporate the mission and values of the school into the classroom
- Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, and communication with families
- Participate in parents-teachers meetings and class meetings
- Participate in the School's events such as Open Days
What we are looking for at Lycée International Winston Churchill:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in the IB curriculum highly desirable
- Interest in curriculum development
- Experience with inquiry and concept-based teaching and learning
- Ability to create and deliver engaging, challenging and fun learning experiences for students with a provision for differentiation
- Use of new technologies
- A passion for education and making a difference
- Strong ability to work as a team
- Good organisational and communication skills in a bilingual environment

Lycée International Winston Churchill is an independent school in Wembley offering in the Secondary section two tracks: the French curriculum and the English International Program leading to the IB Diploma programme in Y12 and Y13.
