A fulltime teaching role entails: 20 teaching periods/week 3 hours support to students/class cover Time for PPA corrections collaborative work and meetings Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Teach English Language and Literature in Secondary school until Y13 Ability to create and deliver original and engaging activities for students with a provision for differentiation Organise and manage classroom which promotes studentcentred learning Provide meaningful assignments and constructive feedback to students Analyse student assessment results to adjust teaching Model and foster an environment that cultivates innovative mindset and critical thinking Write schemes of work and Year plan to ensure the curriculum is met and aligned with LILs standards Work as a team Incorporate the mission and values of the school into the classroom Maintain uptodate records of assessment attendance planning reports and communication with families Participate in parentsteachers meetings and class meetings What we are looking for at LIL We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of a modern bilingual progressive and dynamic school where innovation and care provide the foundation on which we build a path to excellence for every student. QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role Nativelevel English speaker Literature specialists Strong experience with IGCSE MYP/IBDP Awareness of ESOL teaching methodology and experience preparing students for IELTS and Trinity language exams A passion for education and making a difference Willingness to help students reach their potential Curriculum development knowledge Familiarity with iPad apps for teaching and learning Open mindedness and creativity to develop new educational approaches Strong ability to work as a team Ability to work under pressure during term time and meet deadlines Ability to manage the classroom through positive discipline Ability to see the bigger picture and volunteer time and energy to the School project About us Lyce International de Londres Winston Churchill is an independent school in Wembley offering in the Secondary section two tracks: the French curriculum and the English International Program leading to the IB Diploma programme in Y12 and Y13.
