Position to be filled: Fixed-term contract from 27th August 2024 to 4th July 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting stock or goods from the Central Unit Production (CUP) and ensuring that the Lycées’ orders are complete.
  • Loading the goods and meals from the CUP and delivering to the Lycée's main site or wherever the delivery address is.
  • Checking the delivery temperature or any other relevant information into the log book at the delivery point.
  • Packing the goods in the delivery vehicle in an organised and safe manner that matches the order in which the deliveries will be made.
  • Planning the shortest and best routes to clients by taking factors like roadblocks and traffic into consideration.
  • Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues.
  • Making a weekly (or whenever necessary) cleaning of the delivery van using the dedicated chemicals.
  • Additional duties may be occasionally required.

Requirements:

  • Proof of valid driving licence in the UK (a Luton Van will be driven).
  • Catering experience.
  • Knows HACCP method and adheres strictly to food safety regulations.
  • Excellent timekeeping and punctuality essential.
  • Ability to perform tasks on time and at the time prescribed.
  • Dynamic, ability to take initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Rigor and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French is desirable.

Working hours: 40 hours per week (1600 hours per year) Monday to Friday, from 6:45am to 14:45pm.

Monthly gross salary: £2,349.99 (incl. all allowance).

Employer contribution to private healthcare: 15% employer contribution to private pension.

60 days holiday per annum.

All post holders are subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Additionally, anyone who has resided outside the UK will be asked to provide a criminal disclosure record from their previous countries of residence. Non-British citizens: You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK. Successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview during the week beginning 10th June 2024 (the date and time of the interview will be communicated by email).
