The Navigation Inn, a beautiful and well-established canal-side pub in Barrow upon Soar, is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Sous Chef to join its friendly and experienced kitchen team.
Over the past seven years, the owners have worked incredibly hard to restore this lovely pub to its former glory, building a fantastic reputation and a thriving food trade along the way.
Now we're looking for someone special to become part of its next chapter!
The Role Working alongside a highly experienced Head Chef, you'll play an important part in delivering delicious, freshly prepared food to customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality dishes.
Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
Maintaining excellent food presentation and consistency.
Bringing fresh ideas and creativity to the menu.
Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
Supporting the smooth running of busy food services.
Working as part of a friendly, hardworking and supportive team.
Who Are We Looking For? We would love to hear from chefs who have:
Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally at Sous Chef or Chef de Partie level.
A genuine passion for fresh food and traditional pub cooking.
A positive, reliable and hands-on approach.
Creativity and enthusiasm for developing new dishes.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
