Estimator Civils & Utilities (Gas / Oil). My client is a leading Mechanical & Civil Engineering contractor delivering high-quality solutions across the utilities, gas, oil, and pipeline sectors. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Estimator (Civils & Utilities) to join our commercial team based at our Head Office in Ilkeston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware Estimator with a proven background in civil engineering and utilities projects, looking to play a key role in securing and delivering major works nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed take-offs and prepare accurate tender submissions
- Organise and issue tender enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors
- Manage and administrate all tender documentation and correspondence
- Produce accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates within required timescales
- Price work from first principles, including labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Support bid submissions and contribute to successful project awards
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project delivery requirements
