We are working with a rapidly growing precision engineering business based in Long Eaton, specialising in advanced CNC machining (milling and turning), heat treatment, and surface finishing. The company supplies high-quality components into demanding sectors including aerospace and defence, and continues to expand its capabilities and customer base.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Engineer / Technical Sales professional to join the business. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing client relationships within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable engineering solutions
- Prepare and present quotations in line with customer specifications
- Work closely with internal teams including production and engineering
- Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order completion
- Proven track record in technical sales within engineering or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of precision engineering / CNC machining
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (desirable)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven approach
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
