Salary: 40k - 60k DOE
We are seeking an experienced Manager Civil Engineering to lead a busy steel and pipe fabrication facility. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise fabrication projects, including workforce planning.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and BS EN 1090 standards.
- Liaise effectively with clients and internal operations teams.
- Monitor quality, health and safety performance; deliver toolbox talks as required.
- Maintain accurate daily fabrication diaries and support issue resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and strong housekeeping standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years experience in engineering management within fabrication.
- Proven leadership experience in steel and pipe fabrication.
- Successful track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and complete site surveys.
- Experience producing risk assessments, method statements and accurate reports.
- Commercial awareness and strong problem-solving ability.
- Effective communicator with strong leadership and team management skills.
- IT literate; experience with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
