We are seeking an Estimator with experience in civils, utilities, or related engineering disciplines. This role is ideal for someone with an established estimating background or a technically strong graduate with first principles estimating capabilities looking to grow in a practical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare take-offs and develop tender submissions.
- Organise tender enquiries and manage correspondence.
- Produce accurate estimates in a timely, efficient manner.
- Review technical and project information to create cost breakdowns.
- Work closely with project teams to support winning bids.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in estimating within utilities (gas, water, power) and/or pipeline civil engineering.
- Experience in pricing from first principles (essential).
- Strong track record in securing projects through tenders.
- Understanding of project management practices and terminology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ideally including Microsoft Project.
- Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent).
- Previous engineering/site experience.
- Minimum 5 years estimating experience preferred; however, technically strong candidates with first principles understanding and high motivation will be considered.
