About the Role

Are you passionate about the Hair & Beauty industry and experienced in building relationships with salons and employers?

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded

Employer Engagement Officer to drive apprenticeship recruitment across the Hair & Beauty sector.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the industry, has knowledge of salon environments, and can confidently engage employers to create apprenticeship opportunities.

You will be responsible for developing new employer partnerships, managing existing salon accounts, and sourcing aspiring apprentices to match with vacancies.

Working closely with employers and learners, you will play a key role in promoting apprenticeships, supporting recruitment activities, and helping businesses develop the next generation of Hair & Beauty professionals.

This is a target-driven role that combines business development, account management, recruitment, and learner engagement, offering excellent earning potential through an uncapped bonus scheme.

  • Hybrid between the office, WFH and field-based in the Newcastle and Sunderland Region

Key Responsibilities

  • Employer Engagement
  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing salon and employer partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities and apprenticeship vacancies.
  • Deliver a high level of account management and customer service.
  • Promote apprenticeship programmes through meetings, networking events, social media, webinars and open days.
  • Support employer onboarding, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and compliantly.
  • Identify recruitment needs and provide talent solutions through apprenticeship programmes.
  • Learner Recruitment & Support
  • Attract and engage aspiring apprentices through social media, schools, careers events, open days and referrals.
  • Support applicants with CV writing, interview preparation and employability skills.
  • Match suitable candidates with apprenticeship vacancies.
  • Coordinate interviews, trial days and recruitment activities with employers.
  • Maintain engagement with learners and identify progression opportunities.
  • Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure all apprenticeship starts are compliant and meet eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner and employer records.
  • Complete activity reports and manage recruitment pipelines effectively.
  • Ensure employer health and safety documentation is completed and up to date.
  • Work towards and exceed agreed KPIs and recruitment targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within the
  • Hair & Beauty industry

, apprenticeship sector, recruitment, employer engagement or business development.

  • Good understanding of salon operations and the Hair & Beauty employment market.
  • Existing industry contacts and networks would be advantageous.
  • Passion for developing future talent within the Hair & Beauty sector.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation and networking skills.
  • Confident working towards targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and CRM systems.
  • English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK.
