Job Description
We are seeking anEarly Years Skills Assessor Tutor in the Tunbridge Wells areato deliver Level 2, Level 3, and Level 5 childcare apprenticeship qualifications. You will be joining a well-established and specialist apprenticeship provider in the Early Years sector. This is a home-based role with travel in the local region to meet with learners in their workplace.
To apply for this vacancy, you must be a qualified assessor or due to finish your Assessor Award (CAVA), and have nursery management experience.
Please note that due to the volume of applications we receive, only applicants who have answered the qualifying questions will be considered.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering vocational qualifications and preparing learners for Apprenticeship Assessments (previously known as EPA), using coaching and assessment methods that comply with the National Standards and Awarding Body requirements.
You will also be required to provide high levels of support to learners and work closely with childcare providers to ensure that training provision meets their business needs. Achieving organisational targets for qualification achievement rates is a key responsibility of this role.
You will be responsible for administration tasks, managing appointments, and keeping up to date with the latest policies and procedures. The successful candidate must have excellent time-management and organisational skills, as well as a positive outlook and self-motivation.

- CAVA, A1 award or equivalent –Essential
- Nursery Management experience. –Essential
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification (AET, PTTLS, or equivalent). –Desirable
