We're hiring an experienced Factory Operations Supervisor on behalf of a well-known Staffordshire manufacturer to join their close-knit team and support the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. This role combines production supervision, planning coordination, KPI tracking, labour management, and operational support across warehouse and manufacturing activities.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for daily operational control of production and warehouse teams, ensuring planning, output, quality, efficiency, and delivery targets are achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production and warehouse operations.
  • Monitor daily production performance.
  • Support daily production planning activities and ensure operational priorities are aligned with production and delivery requirements.
  • Assist with production scheduling, shift coordination, and labour allocation.
  • Provide operational and technical support to the Production Leader.
  • Monitor and report on production KPIs.
  • Lead and support production teams to maintain safe, organised, and efficient working practices.
  • Support onboarding and training of new production staff and operators.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational issues and minimise production disruption.
  • Escalate production, quality, or operational concerns promptly and assist in coordinating containment actions.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a production supervisory or senior team leader role within manufacturing.
  • Experience in warehousing, plastics, assembly, automation, or light industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Strong organisational and people supervision skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, production reporting, and strong Microsoft Office tools knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to coordinate labour and prioritise production activities in a fast-paced environment.
