Job Description
Warehouse & Distribution ManagerOverviewManaging the day to day running of the warehouse monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods. Responsible for the line management of the staff within the distribution team including warehouse staff and transportation staff and ensuring that all delivery requirements for the depot are successfully met.Main Duties:• Developing and implementing new warehousing systems. Ensuring that the warehouse as a whole runs as efficiently and effectively as possible.• Maintaining the condition of the warehouse and arranging for necessary repairs.• To analyse data to monitor performance and plan improvements.• Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems.• Maintaining effective stock management:- Ensuring that products are dealt with efficiently in the warehouse and successfully get delivered to customers- To take responsibility for the ordering of stock and creating and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and other wholesalers.- Ensure the warehouse is well displayed and within guidelines.- To control stock density and rotation- To initiate local stock and sales promotions.- To ensure that stock is stored within health and safety guidelines- Responsible for monthly stock takes within the warehouse.• Enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.• Responsible for monitoring tachograph records and maintaining records on vehicle service/repairs.• Overseeing the recruitment of new staff, including interviews, training and inductions.• Ensuring adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload.• Delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output.• Promoting staff development, training and disciplinary matters.• Administration of holiday requests and absence monitoring.Knowledge and Experience:• Use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records• Full use of 'Trinity’ system and Cyberquery• Good teamwork skills• Good Management and communication skills• Good specialist knowledge of the drinks industry• WMS Experience is preferred• Previous stock control experienceAdditional Information:Monday – FridayA discretionary annual bonus of up to 20% may be awarded, subject to the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs)LWC Drinks Ltd provides licensed establishments with all their bar and sundry supplies.
