Main Duties
- Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the purpose of the picker packer will be to complete tasks which assist the day-to-day running of the delivery operations for the following day, ensuring all customer orders are picked correctly, stacked correctly and wrapped in a professional manner, picking from 1500 different products ranging from kegs to packaged beers to wines and spirits.
- Please note, this role will involve manual handling activities.
Key Skills
- Adhering to good practice within the warehouse.
- Responsible for correctly picking orders and placing them in the correct areas for deliveries.
- Reporting stock issues to the supervisory or stock control team.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Wear the correct equipment for your job when on site, for example, safety boots, gloves, and the correct high-visibility vest.
- Assist with ensuring that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure that all new stock delivered must be put away ASAP; all stock must be put away in the correct bin-bay location and match the delivery note received.
- Assist with stock audits on a weekly basis.
- Assist in the monthly stock takes at weekends if and when required.
- Flexible approach to working.
- Assisting drivers as a mate (2nd man) as and when required.
Knowledge and Experience
- Being able to prioritise workloads.
- Good teamwork skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good product knowledge.
- Flexi FLT licence is an advantage.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday (7pm-6am)
