This is a dual-role position within our Warehouse & Distribution team. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across logistics and warehouse duties as required by the needs of the business.

The role involves supporting the delivery of products to customers in a safe, professional and efficient manner, whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards. When not undertaking delivery duties, the successful candidate will assist with warehouse operations, including stock handling, order picking and loading activities. Flexibility, reliability and a willingness to support all areas of the operation are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver in preparing the vehicle and carrying out daily vehicle checks.
  • Ensure all products for delivery are loaded correctly, safely and in accordance with delivery documentation.
  • Assist with deliveries to customers, ensuring goods are delivered accurately and professionally.
  • Support drivers in checking run sheets, delivery routing and customer requirements.
  • Execute any special customer requests detailed on delivery documentation.
  • Check deliveries at each customer location to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate any stock shortages or delivery issues to customers and management.
  • Return empty cases and gas bottles and ensure they are stored correctly upon return to the depot.
  • Assist the driver with all required vehicle and delivery checks.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality regarding premises and operational information.
  • Represent LWC Drinks professionally and wear the correct company uniform at all times.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and operator maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and clean.
  • Safely load and secure products for delivery.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently using run sheets, customer requirements and operational instructions.
  • Deliver products safely, professionally and courteously to customers.
  • Complete all delivery documentation accurately, including proof of delivery and collection records where applicable.
  • Handle customer queries and special delivery instructions professionally.
  • Return all empty cases and gas bottles to the depot and ensure they are stored correctly.
  • Complete all vehicle and delivery checks and submit documentation to the Distribution Manager.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards at all times.
  • Comply with all road traffic legislation and company driving standards.
  • Support warehouse operations when delivery duties are not required.

Additional Information:

Week One Mon- Fri Week Two Tues – Sat After 6 months' service, if probation is passed, you automatically qualify for an annual bonus paid pro rata based on length of service. The annual bonus is £2000.
